Lorrie Potvin – Two-Spirit reading and talk / lecture et conversation Two-Spirit

Lorrie Potvin is a tradeswoman, artist, teacher, and maker. A proud Citizen of the Métis Nation of Ontario, Lorrie describes herself as being queerishly two- spirited, and is the author of Horses in the Sand – A Memoir (Spring 2022) and First Gear – A Motorcycle Memoir (Fall 2015). Lorrie’s craft, Rusted Development – “A Reimagination of the Ordinary” is her upcycling of wood and steel pulled from farmer’s fields and second-hand shops and re-worked into a new way of being. Come see harrow discs made into suns and ice picks as plant stands. Signed books will also be available.
Lorrie Potvin est une artisane, une artiste, une enseignante et une créatrice. Fière citoyenne de la Nation métisse de l’Ontario, Lorrie se décrit comme « queerishly two-spirited », et est l’auteur de Horses in the Sand – A Memoir (printemps 2022) et de First Gear – A Motorcycle Memoir (automne 2015). Le projet créatif de Lorrie, Rusted Development – “A Reimagination of the Ordinary” consiste à recycler du bois et de l’acier provenant de champs d’agriculteurs et magasins d’occasion auxquels elle redonne une toute nouvelle identité.
