Key Volunteers Needed! Information Session

September 24, 2024 @ 18:30 19:30

Key Volunteers Needed!

As you probably already know, volunteers are the backbone of Arbor Gallery’s success. From board members to Gallery sitters, all our volunteers are important, but the impact on our operations varies from one category to the next. One of them is not only precious, but essential to our survival.

As a charitable organization, Arbor Gallery has been a member of Ontario’s Charitable Gaming Program for a few years now. Financed by the activities of the Delta Bingo Network, this charitable program redistributes proceeds to member organizations. In exchange, we must provide volunteers (in pairs) for a few monthly two-hour sessions when two volunteers per session lend a helping hand by collecting small recycling bins from the tables. It’s not a lot of work, considering that in the case of the Gallery, the income we receive enables us to pay our rent, our full-time director and our part-time coordinator, without fear of having to close our doors for lack of resources. It goes without saying that our very existence is linked to this program.

We’d like to replenish our team of bingo volunteers, so as not to lose these vital funds. That’s why we’re holding two information and recruitment sessions, on Tuesday, September 24 at 6:30pm and Saturday, September 28 at 10:30am. We’ll introduce you to the program and to some of our bingo volunteers, and we’ll present our new Arbor Gallery t-shirt (to be worn by program volunteers during the sessions).

This volunteer opportunity is open to our volunteers and friends of the Gallery. Bring a friend – you could fill your sessions in tandem! A few sessions here and there will secure our future!

Come and discover how you can have a direct impact on the survival of the organization – literally!
