Art Supplies Swap and Share

A community sharing event at Arbor Gallery!

Saturday, March 29, 1pm –3pm 

$5 admission at the door 

All art materials on offer are FREE!

– Spring cleaning? Here’s an ecologically friendly way to rehome your neglected / extra art materials

– Come to the swap and pick up a new art medium to try with low financial commitment

– Connect with other makers and creatives at this family-friendly event!

– Save money and help others do the same!

How You Can Participate:

– You can come to the swap with art supplies you’re ready to part with, donate the items to the community table, and take whatever other donated items you think you could use

– Don’t have anything to donate? You can still attend and take supplies from the donated items on offer

– If you don’t want any new-to-you art supplies but you want to help, you can donate your surplus supplies to the Gallery in advance of this event and they will be offered to others on the community table. Please drop off your donations to the Gallery by March 26

We ask that participants…

Are mindful of how much they take from the materials on offer: please only take a reasonable amount, and what you know you’ll use.

Are mindful of the quality of what they donate for others to take: please only give what is still usable, clean and in good condition.

We’ll accept the following:

– markers, pencil crayons, paints, glue, tape, etc.

– tools such as rulers, stencils, scissors, paint brushes, palettes, chisels, palette knives, knitting and crochet needles, etc.

– unused paper pads, sketch books

– beads, buttons, roving, yarn, fabric, etc.

– any other general art or arts and crafts supplies

Please do not bring/donate:

– near-empty paints or dried paints; house paint

– strongly-scented products, chemicals, corrosive substances

– used papers or canvases

– glitter, feathers
