“Art on the Land” is a captivating exhibition that celebrates the rich agricultural landscape and the resilient individuals who live and work on the land. This special community exhibition features a diverse array of artworks created by farming families from both the past and present, showcasing their unique perspectives and experiences.
The exhibition elevates functional objects to the realm of art, highlighting the craftsmanship of the maker and the appreciation of the beholder. It also includes representations of local agriculture from those inspired by its beauty, even if they do not work directly within the sector. With over 32 pieces generously loaned by local individuals and institutions, “Art on the Land” pays homage to the agricultural heritage of our region.
Throughout the exhibition, visitors will explore various themes, including the art of the transformed landscape, the interplay between human construction and natural elements, the aesthetic value of everyday objects, and reflections on legacy and future directions. Curated by Andrea Belcham, this exhibition invites you to engage with the stories and artistry that define our agricultural community.
Join us in celebrating the beauty and significance of our land through the eyes of those who cherish it. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to experience the intersection of art and agriculture!
