Mary Ellen Mueller Legault is mainly a self-taught artist. She never really thought of getting serious about watercolours until entering mid-life when she noticed that two of her sisters were having too much fun with their own watercolour experiences; she decided to jump on the bandwagon!

Most of her paintings represent places visited. Windows and flowers are especially appealing to her, but she does not shy away from other subjects. She paints for fun and hopes the finished painting makes people happy.
