Susan has always been involved in art, and from an early age was encouraged to be true to herself. She began with lessons organized through the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts Children’s Program, and continued taking multidisciplinary courses throughout her teens. This led to a post-secondary degree in graphic arts. The artist then worked for a number of years in the commercial field. Susan now devotes her time to fine arts, by creating her own works and teaching others. Over the years this artist has
worked in nearly all media often combining them in mixed media works. This is an artist whose work is constantly evolving as she searches for ways to communicate to others her passion for art and creating. A regular participant in juried, group and solo shows, this artist’s works are part of several private and public collections.

Cathy Badcock grew up in Vankleek Hill and founded Badcock Design as an interior design and furniture artistry company that centralized around an eco design objective. Most of her furniture recreations start out as pieces that have been discarded. Furniture & Art history, design experience and a keen desire to give old objects new life and purpose … to be used, loved and appreciated again.Every piece has a name and a story. All of the paints used are custom selections, low VOC and hand mixed in small batches. Refresh, Renew, Redo and Re-home are her constant end game when it comes to creating.
